This tender is announced with a view to select the best proposal for the implementation of the project ‘Supporting gender equality in the economy through public procurement’. The contract is carried out in the framework of EIGE’s work on gender mainstreaming methods and tools.
The study shall firstly map examples, best practices, lessons learnt and know-how derived from available GRPP initiatives and enabling processes in the EU, including co-funded projects under European Structural and Investment Funds. The geographical scope for the mapping of existing practices and processes will include the EU and all EU member states at national, regional and local levels. The first part of the study shall be complemented by systematisation and classification of collected information on GRPP practices and processes across the EU which will shed light on optimal ways to implement GRPP. The study will also examine the level of institutionalisation of GRPP and its effects in times of covid-19 and its aftermath, in all EU member states and draw recommendations.
The second part of the study will assess the EU framework on public procurement in order to identify opportunities and entry points for strengthening gender mainstreaming and develop a practical toolkit for the implementation of GRPP. The toolkit and related materials will be tested in an awareness raising/competence development session with EU procurement officers. Finally, the study will develop knowledge-based communication products.

This tender is announced with a view to select the best proposal for the implementation of the project ‘Supporting gender equality in the economy through public procurement’. The contract is carried out in the framework of EIGE’s work on gender mainstreaming methods and tools.
